Let’s break down the idea that you have to love yourself before anyone else loves you. there are so many reasons a person may have a hard time loving themselves, including mental health or trauma. this just reinforces the idea that those people will not be able to have their love reciprocated. No one is saying that self love isn’t important, but we need to stop telling people they are unlovable, and teach people that they are deserving of support and love on their good days and their bad.
